New Production, Opera Philadelphia
Mozart’s riveting masterpiece follows the charming predator Don Giovanni, a man who uses people without a care for their hearts, or the consequences of his actions. When he murders the father of a woman he’s assaulted, Giovanni sets in motion the events which lead to his downfall. Director Alison Moritz leads a boldly reinvented production of the classic story for Opera Philadelphia’s distinguished 2024-25 season alongside conductor Corrado Rovaris.

Fantastic Mr. Fox
New Production, Opera Omaha
Roald Dahl’s classic novel comes to life in this delightful opera by American composer Tobias Picker. The whimsical story of Mr. Fox and his clever animal companions outsmarting three bumbling farmers is sure to compel opera enthusiasts and families alike. Kicking off Opera Omaha’s inaugural Family Opera Series, this new production of Fantastic Mr. Fox will be created by director Alison Moritz and conductor Gil Rose, and performed in Omaha’s Lauritzen Gardens.

Concert Staging, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra
Alison directs a concert staging of Verdi’s classic, starring Angel Blue in the title role. Conducted by BSO Music Director Jonathon Heyward, with performances at both Meyerhoff and the Music Center at Strathmore.

2025 Festival Season
Central City Opera, Colorado
Artistic Director Alison Moritz stewards the 2025 summer season at Central City Opera. Founded in 1932, Central City Opera is the fifth oldest professional opera company in the country and is renowned for exquisite world-class productions, a robust young artist training program, creative education activities and community engagement. The 2025 season will include Il barbiere di Siviglia, the Regional Premiere of The Knock, and a soon to be announced hit Broadway musical.
